Finishing Snowy our Snowman

We have been working really hard on our Snowman named Snowy. We made for him a big snow ball, a medium one, and a small one. We gave him 2 button eyes, a carrot nose, and a cheerio smiley face.

This week we colored his hands made out of branches…

We made his scarf by adding star stickers all over it…

We put on his mittens with lots of sparkiling sequence…

We added his hat with which we decorated with foam shapes to keep him warm…

In order to make Snowy our snowman we read the book called "One Snowy Day"each time we added to him.

In the book all the animals help make the snowman by bringing all the materials and putting him together. In the end they raise their cups of hot chocolate and Say Hello to their new friend.

On friday We too had a Hot choclate party and raised our cups to our new Friend Snowy…

Come Say hello to Snowy !!!

Learning Daled

This week Morah Milana taught us the Hebrew letter Daled.

We had a lot of fun hiding the Daleds and finding them…

The Daled says Dah
The Daled says Dah
Every Letter makes a sound the Daled Says Dah

Daled is for Doron, Daniella, and David

Daled is also for the Hebrew word Dug meaning fish…

We had lots of fun using our dot markers to decorate the fish...

We also had a great time playing and learning during Center time…

Winter is here...

This week we said good bye to Fall and started learning about Winter.

Since it was too wet and cold outside. We brought the Snow inside to play with.

Sasha and Mr. Genya helped Morah fill a bucket of snow to bring inside for our nursery friends.

We loved feeling the cold snow

We even got to make mini snow men with our snow…

We Loved it !!!

This week we also started working on our new snow man friend…
We read a book about a snow man and learned about how to make one. We need the big ball, the medium ball, and the small one.

We started by working on the big ball. We used glue and shaving cream to decorate it.

We then worked on making the medium ball by adding ripped up white tissue paper to it.

We then read our snow man book again and learned about the different parts of the snow mans face. We used buttons as eyes, a baby carrot as a nose, and cheerios as the mouth.

We named our snow man "Snowey" (thank you Ella for the name)… Next week we will continue working on him…
