Welcome Back Morah Tammy!!!

Community Helpers continued...

We continued learning about our school community helper by having Mr. Gena (our fixer man in school) show us his tools.

We Started learning about our next community helper… The Librarian. 

We spoke about what we do in the library, who helps us there, and the rules (like being quiet) in the library. 

We got to take a look at Morah rivky's and Morah milana's library cards.

 We worked hard on decorating our library for the bulletin board… 

We went on a trip to the the library.

 Read our favorite books…

Everyone got a chance to use Morah Rivky's Library card to BORROW one book to take back to school. 

We read all the books at school and then gave them to our pre-N 2 class to return to the library so other children can get to read them. 

We even got to make our very own books to take home…

What a Great Week!!!

Our School Community

We started off the week learning the letter "M" for Morah Milana, Morah Rivky, and Morah Shoshana. The children got a turn to trace the letter "M" and then add in the missing lines. 

We talked about our school community. 

Morah Rivky asked the children who helps them in school? All the children answered "our Morah's". 

We took a walk around the school building looking for other people that help us in school. 

We asked them "How do You help us?" and we thanked them for their help. 

Isabelle helps us by keeping our classroom clean and by helping us have lunch to eat.

Mr. Genya helps us by fixing anything that is broken and by driving the van.

Alicia helps us by buzzing us in by the door in the morning and by calling our mommies to tell her how we are doing in school. 

Miss Inna helps us by making sure everything in school is good for us. 

We loved getting to meet all our community school helpers… Now when we see them we say Hello and thank you.  

This week we also worked hard decorating a school building to put on our community wall. We added all our school community helpers to our building… 

This week we also played very nicely together during center time…

Community Helpers: Fire Fighters continued...

This week we learned more about fire fighters. We learned about the different things fire fighters wear to protect them from the fire. The fire hat that is hard, the coat that is thick, the pants, and the boots. 

We read a book about fire fighters and worked hard painting and decorating our own fire fighter hats… 

We also went on a trip to the fire station… 

 We got to touch the hose and even spray water… 

We got to see the fire fighter in all his gear… 

We got to go inside the fire truck… 

And try on the fire fighters hats… 

We watched as the fire fighter slid down the pole… We tried it too. 

What a fun trip!!!
