Shana Tova!

Dear Parents,
We want to take this opportunity to welcome you all to Nursery 2 at Mazel Day School. We have already begun the year off with a bang. The children are all so cute and are adjusting well so far. As for you the parents, you're also doing a wonderful job with the changes and helping your children to transition and say a quick goodbye each morning ;) we and your children appreciate it!
The children spent last week adjusting to school and getting used to the schedule we have planned for them and they are doing quite well thus far. We are confident that as time goes on, they will be 'professionals'.
Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur are both now behind us and we had so much fun learning all about it. We ate apples with honey, spoke about wanting a sweet new year, sang songs like "Dip the Apple in the Honey", and The Shofar in the Shul. Our class also spoke about Hashem and all the mitzvot he gives to us and how much we love Hashem. We know that all the mitzvot are inside the Torah.
The children also got to decorate their own shofars and had lots of fun doing so.  We had a special visitor- Mr. Zeke come to join us and teach us all about the shofar. This was so exciting and enjoyable for everyone! Getting to learn about the different sounds the shofar makes, touching a few different kinds, and also learning where they come from was part of the lesson with him. Thank you to Mr. Zeke for visiting us!
Before Yom Kippur our class had the chance to bake yummy honey cake to ensure that we all have a sweet new year. We spoke about the different ingredients, counted, measured, and got to use our fine motor skills while doing this.  We hope you enjoyed them :)
Here you will find some photos of the children and some of the activities we have been doing together. Morah Milana and myself are both looking forward to a fun filled year with your children. As always please remember that we want to  work together as a team with you to ensure the optimal success for your children. Don't hesitate to be in touch with us.
Thank you so much!
Have a great day,
Morah Tammy and Morah Milana
